Nonemergency medical rides

As of March 1, 2024, we will no longer cover nonemergency medical rides as part of your Aetna Better Health® of New York benefits. If you need a ride on or after March 1, you can schedule it through Medical Answering Services (MAS). Keep in mind that this will not change any of your other benefits.

How to set up a ride 

Be sure to ask for a ride at least three business days before you need it. To schedule a ride, you or your provider can visit the MAS website. You can also call 1-844-666-6270.

 

Be sure to have this info ready when you call: 

  • Your first and last name 

  • Your date of birth 

  • Your Medicaid ID number

  • Your home address, including ZIP code, for the pickup 

  • Your phone number 

  • Name of your provider 

  • Date and time of your health care visit  

  • If you have special travel needs (example: wheelchair access)

Mark your calendar 

Remember to mark your calendar for the date and time of your visit. You'll want to be ready 30 minutes before your driver is due to arrive.
